Every time I wince internally when seeing trainers c.£200 it really is just the equivalent price of shoes that were £100 20 years ago plus inflation.

Currently enjoying all the reissue 1985 cut Air Jordan 1 hi and lows with board lasting and proper shapes.

I paid £190 for the first black leather Air Max TN imports from Sports & Things. I think Air Max 95s were still around the £100 mark at that point. Crazy.

I can't bring myself to look at AJ1s in the shops anymore, every random colourway in lo, mid and OG. Also crazy.

Meteor Sports in Bethnal Green was c. £250 for USA TNs; Kash used to fly out on a Friday to NYC, store managers would let him buy after hours then red-eye flight back so they were on sale same day in UK as release day Saturday in NYC. And he did that every week. Brutal.
