Just a thought, as it's a DIY there is no pressure to start anywhere, why don't you jump on a train 45 mins / hour from your most convenient station and start somewhere nice? Better access to different lanes (although I can't speak to the cleanliness). Unless you're really time poor an extra 45 mins or so removes that grim M25 drag out and back which is usually the last thing I want at the start and end of 200km.

I can't promise what you want but I can probably dig some routes out that I used. I know I did Boat Trip a lot from my place simply because it was close. But I only did some mega hilly routes for AAA points.

I modified this to start closer to home.
Don't know if I've ridden this one yet:

I'd look at the various Kingston Wheelers audaxes on their website, plenty of 200km options to use or adapt. Brace of Bramleys, Gentley Bentley, and there's 1-2 others I can't remember the names of.
Ditchling Devil starts in Wimbledon, and is also nice to ride in reverse as I found yesterday.
You might drop the organiser a courtesy email saying you're planning to DIY the route, they're usually happy to offer a few cafe options on the way round as a bonus.
The Cogidubnus is another. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/13932310
I'm planning on doing rrty and wondering if anyone has some nice 200k diy routes from west/sw London? Looking for some routes to co-opt that have some of those magical qualities of semi-decent road surface and wide enough to not get buzzed by trucks doing 50. I'd normally just be on lanes and back roads but things seem to be reasonably bad with debris, storms and road surface atm.
