I have a couple of unknown derailleur hangers of the same design, and access to a forge. Am I missing something in thinking it wouldn’t be too difficult to make a hanger I’d find useful by melting the hangers, and pouring a cast in a sand impression of another hanger? I’d have get clever with the bolt holes to ensure I have enough material to cut threads into, but other than that should be straightforward, non?
