Yeah, had to repaint parts of the frame anyways. It's a bit ott but does feel right for that period :).

Roubaix suspension bikes were definitely an inspiration! The Rock Shox Paris-Roubaix forks were a variation on their Mag 20 or 21 forks but with a bit less travel iirc. This modded (chopped off canti bosses) SR fork is not as sophisticated but does the job and has a bit more travel. Geometry wise it came out spot on.

I'm also between sizes, L and XL. I went for the smaller size, so that's another point to worry about, but let's see.

Picked up the 50euro tandem as a fun little winter project. just swapped out front cockpit for fit so I could ride it. Will convert it to 1x, clean up all the touch points and then just let it be. ITs a total junk box beater build.
