Lost a front wheel nut last night with about 20-odd kms to go at the end of a DIY Audax. Wholly unprepared, I didn't have any zip ties or anything. Nipped into a pub to see what they had, got hold of a few elastic bands. They held and no visit to an emergency dentist was needed.
I first thought the mudguard mount adapter thingys might have helped to work the nut loose, I think it was just user error and I didn't do them up properly ðŸ«
insanely sketchy! as i think i've posted on here before - lamp posts outside local shops / tesco metro etc are usually a good source for emergency zipties.
