Nice one. Only there for one night, so will probably go to Mother India's. But good to know for future visits.

Kebab Mahal is across from Mosque Kitchen on Nicholson Sq, pretty small and more of a cafe vibe but definitely worth considering too.

Anyone got any cycling coach recommendations in Edinburgh, Fife...anywhere in the country really. A focus on Ultra more than anything, personalised training plans, nutrition, strength, whole shebang.

The Dhabba 44 Candleriggs, Merchant City, Glasgow. Bloody excellent
https://www.thedhabba.com/Never had curry in Edinburgh but can recommend 'The Grey Friars Bobby' pub for food, Haggis Neeps & Tatties and Cranachan :P

Again snappy snax cafe behind the apple centre for mac/cheese chips or similar cheap filler.

Ended up going to SEN Vietnamese Dining on W Nicholson Street, which was terrific. Also ate at Café Andaluz, which was nothing more than OK. Enjoyed pretty good coffee at the Zebra Coffee Company on the Mound and Thomas J Walls on Forrest Rd. Highlight was two well-kept pints of Fyne Ales Jarl at the Sandy Bell's bar while sitting next to the fire.

I miss playing pool - any good pubs with pool tables around? A lot of the ones I've seen are student-y ones which I'm not interested in.

Back to Indian food in Edinburgh. - desi pakwan on the bottom of leith walk is the most legit North Indian food in the city. Next ring on the ladder is actual aunties houses.

Interesting - reminds me of being a teen in Switzerland, where the only place that would serve us pre-16 was a pool bar. I was hoping for more of a pub-style environment though.
I've not been to Locarno in Slateford/Shandon but it looks like the real deal - has anyone been?

I'm pretty sure the Spey Lounge near the foot of the walk has a pool table. Rough n' ready....lets say.

I was going to suggest Diannes Pool Hall on Morrison St but Google suggests it closed 6-7yrs ago. Fuck I’m out of touch.

Understatement of the year! 😆

Hmmmm can't say I've ever been to Spey Lounge but I can't say I fancy it. Clearly there is a need for some sort of LFGSS Edinburgh club house....

Ended up in there once, seemed fine for lads but upon reading the reviews on google...not the place for solo women. Yikes.

Yeah
Mate lives opposite it, it's the real deal, just in Slateford
Close to Diggers though

Lights on epileptic fit mode all the time and usually karaoke too. It's just a riot in there and not in a good way

No worries.
There's also curry places at the top of Leith Walk (i.e. close to the Omni Centre and theatre) so if you find yourself in that part of town then there should be a few options available.
