  • Almost bought one of these frames, they seem real nice. Interested to see the end product.

  • Spotted SKS Edge AL 'guards in Condor. Seem neat, solid aluminium, black stays, a lot like PDW or Kineses but cheap as chips. Where to get fun mud flaps?

£38 with PAC10 code at Halfords

  • I dont trust a rear SKS guard with single stay

  • Where to get fun mud flaps?

Surely some real long RAW flaps.. can design your own which I guess is the fun part(?!).

  • Was just looking at those! They do iridescent 🥳

  • Remembered this thread on the ride in this morning, got a snap of the Ritchey Butanos in situ for you:

  • Ah yeah nice. I have Ritchey Comp Streem on the Ribble just now - looks like the same bars without the flare.

  • saw those on instagram - going to buy some

  • "Inboard Shimano Flat-Mount disc mounts on frame and fork (maximum 160mm rotors)."

I fit 160mm front and back on all our bikes, because I ain't got time to be dealing with 140mm rotors. I do have some 140mm lying about if you want to go that way.

  • Shoulda asked them, got 160 front and 140 rear with the groupset but it sounds like that’ll be fine

  • It will be fine. I originally ran my 4SD with 160/140 but fucked the 140mm off because the more parts I can make the same/interchangeable the less I need to worry about.

  • The eggplant made me click

  • Seat clamp is quite lol

  • Ooooh yeah

  • nice

  • Fun!

  • Love a purple bike.

Would love to see this with green Hope bits, and "organic green" Jagwire outer cable

  • Great success. Despite no prior knowledge of Shimano, 12s, hydraulic or any other kind of disc brake or tubeless, I managed to get it built in a day and nothing fell off on a four hour shakedown chasing @cjr around the woods.

Feels great, as predicted I could do with a couple more gears on the easy end but it’s good for now.

  • Some refinements:

Green cable is no, swapping for purple Jagwire that’ll match the headbadge el perfecto

The paint is a little less sparkly than I expected, whole thing is a bit too pedestrian so to make sure it’s noticed by London’s famous London bike thieves I’m going full bongo on the stem and top cap.

  • This looks great and yeah with you on the cable

  • Did you get it for the cheaps? I kinda feel like I should've grabbed one of these (the Tripster on ebay went too)

  • The paint is a little less sparkly than I expected

It does look way more dull than the promo photos. Maybe they cheaped out on the paint?
On the other hand, dull suits me just fine. It's only going to get covered in silly components, electrical tape, zip dies and dust/mud/blood/snot/sweat/cabbages anyway.

I did prefer the bright orange Tripster scheme but prefer the frame on this.

  • £675 for the frame and forks. Got 10% off the wheelset from Sigma too

What about that purple sparkly Cannondale in the classifieds…
