Yeah, if pyrolytic (mo powaaa) it’s almost certain not to be 13a - as that alone will probably draw the peak current.

Fair enough! Guessed that running at 500 some degrees would be the biggest power draw. Interesting.

Is 13(amps) x 240(v) the maximum that a single appliance can draw, or is it just coincidence that the result is close to 3000?

I think technically it's 230V (voltage) and 13A (current) which is what gives the power (voltage x current) of 3,000.

Round my way voltage is more like 245V so I can get an extra 185W before the fuse in the plug melts. Maybe.

I think the European spec is 230V ±10% so my DNO aren't being slack yet.

Also something about diversity? First 10A at full current and then the rest calculated at 30% I believe.

It's been about a year since I begrudgingly destroyed our tiled fireplace as we discovered the hearth was split in two and the tiles/brick sub-structure were falling apart... progress!

Thanks. Wrote about it in the How Do I... Thread but basically carpenter booked 3 months ago, took 2 months to deliver materials and spray doors and then they stopped responding to any messages and left their tools here - been nearly a month so I took over.

Couple of dings in the sprayed finish and I don't know what paint he used. I also have an attic full of tools I can't do anything with now. Still can't reach him.

But on the plus side I have cupboards that look decent and only took me about 5 days of mistakes to figure out.

Very benevolent of you to leave that wasps' nest hanging from the ceiling.

So weird, I wonder if hes been in an accident or something, perhaps you should phone the police. Either way, now you have some nice cupboards and free tools. Bargain.

Ah!

Cork floor has arrived. One more step closer to LFGSS bingo. Now how the hell do I lay this stuff? It’s glue down, floors chipboard, I have the glue and gubbins, but a bit unsure of where to start and pattern.

Tempted to go far left corner as I know it’s square and any cuts will be hidden under the desk on the right.

What one did you go for?

I always thought the correct way to laying a floor such as tile is to start in the middle and work outwards. So you find the centre line, place a tile on the centre line and go from there. That way at the edges you have the same width cuts etc.

But I’m not sure if that is legit it’s just how I have done it.

Yeah I’ve heard that two but I think that will be tougher to do, and this is my first go at this.
I’m trying to aim for simplest method to reduce errors. The section around the door is going to be hell.
