Ah thanks very much, the issue is I already have double sided pedals on the bike for exactly this use case... but the minor annoyance of having to get them the right side up when wearing normal shoes, coupled with a not very inspiring lack of grip on the non-SPD side, is making me think that I should get off the fence and go full flat
