Did someone here have a Classic Vibe 50s Stratocaster for sale recently?

Don't know, but I have a Squier body with upgraded electronics and a Mexican Fender neck with vintage tuners and fretboard radius for sale...

Oh that sounds of interest... I've been thinking about picking up a cheap Stratocaster to do a Robbie Robertson replica and mod it...
Any pics? -

That Strat body is on eBay now - happy to ride it over to anyone on here who lives in London. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166406778191

How much are you looking for on this (and do I want it?!)
Have been wondering about a practice amp for my very infrequent, unskilled pootling

Not sure. They're great sounding, really convenient and good looking. But I'm replacing it with something bigger and less practical. I offered it on here before but didn't get any bites, so have thrown it up on eBay. Just put an old Strat neck up too: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/166406843358

No worries, just wondered if there was a BIN non eBay price. I'm only casually interested so not sure what a fair price would be tbh!

Pop a low bid on if you want, and I can drop off or meet to save a few squids on postage.

So I've started playing using the side of the pick, wow, such a difference to the sound. How does it tighten the sound up so much? Less leverage? More control because it's the short side of the plectrum?
Answers on a postcard please.

I started on the Johnny Marr YouTube video with those pedal guys yesterday. Once I learned to ignore their fawning when he played some riffs from his songs I’ve found it really interesting. His idea that the guitar supports the song seems sound and I look forward to watching the rest.

Who’s the guy in Kentish Town to go to for guitar set up. ? Feel like there was a recommendation on here a while back. Alternatively anyone in north / west London. Need my epi dot looking at - bone nut fitting / filing - neck relief / action etc.

If Golders Green isn’t too far then Haim is your man, took amazing care of my Swinger and has been servicing the guitars of the greats since the 1970s

We’re the only full-time custom mirrorball studio in the world(that we know of, there’s a few amateurs out there) so basically anyone who wants something that silly has to come to us ;)
We were approached by her agent but the guitar came directly from fender europe(I think she’s a sponsored artist and also has a nifty custom meteora). The brief was vague, I just had fun with it and it came out good. It’s not the first instrument I’ve done but it’s definitely the best and the first one that’s getting toured instead of just used for a photoshoot then forgotten about..

https://www.creationmusicstudios.com/ maybe.
I had a PRS set up by the chap there (whose name escapes me). It was well done, well priced, and a nice guy, but it was a fairly simple vanilla job

Anyone know what the quality is like on these Vintera guitars? Ever since I sold my USA Tele Deluxe a few years ago I've missed it. Don't have the bones for anything in that league just now though....

You seen the Squier Esquire Deluxe doing the rounds at the minute? Very sexy. Single (probably not wide range) humbucker. But not a traditional Tele.
Mexican Teles are great, I just got one a little while ago and it rips.

I had a Vintera Mustang bass for a while - Fender are pretty good at delivering incremental gains as you go up their product range, so the Vintera's are definitely a step up in quality compared to the Mexican "Player" range but also a step down from an American Standard I had in the past.
The new Vintera II basses get pretty good reviews on bass chat.
The caveat on all that is whether or not you think it's crazy to be paying a grand for a Mexican Fender & what your politics around that are.
I want to dust off my Danelectro, potentially might swap it for a tele or jaguar. Do I go down the amp + pedals or interface + digital amps route? Will probably be playing at low volume due to neighbours + baby
