You just need to invest in some waterproof undies, make it your feet's problem.

This.
Jacket leads to trousers leads to sealkinz socks leads to stinky footwear.

Dog walk time in a minute; waterproof coat, ditto trousers, worn with trouser legs over wellies. It's pissing down, but I'll be warm and dry even after 45 minutes, dogs will still need drying though.

Aren't they supposed to keep moisture in? I suppose you could turn them inside out.

You hadn’t specified which way you wanted to hold water.

Paramo or Rab Vapour Rise. Paramo you'll look like a bit of a twat, but you'll stay dry and warm (too warm). Paramo works best worn next to the skin, not always ideal
Forget shell jackets they're all rubbish IME

My old Berghaus karked it, and and I got a Columbia shell jacket at the start of the summer. It’s been properly tested in the constant downpours. Yeah they aren’t as waterproof as they used to be, but it’s good for a hour of ultra heavy rain

I don’t need a warm jacket. I need the bare minimum to keep me dry. I usually wear just a light breathable t-shirt under as I’m rarely stood still when I’m out and about.

Well shell jackets are variable at best. Pile and Pertex such as Buffalo will keep you bone dry when active, but warm. Same with Paramo. Rab Vapour Rise is much lighter than Paramo but will wet out over time, however when you're active it's not so much of an issue. Have you considered a waterproof poncho?! Very breathable!

Adverts in general.
Double fuck off to adverts in streaming content that I've already fucking paid for.

I'll second this. I needed something actually fully waterproof because hiking in the rain all days tends to expose any not sealed joins or zips. The torrentshell has been faultless. It's not warm but you layer underneath and use the pit zips

I do this. But I also use my bag as a basket. So it would be tricky to unload and load into the same bag.

Standing in line.
Know your audience. We're mostly British on here and we fucking love a good queue

This seems like practically everyone for some reason, I don’t get it either, and always feel like a right grumpy cunt when I inevitably squeeze an arm between some unsuspecting bystanders to press it

These are fantastic tbf. I was given a good quality Mizuno one years back at Endure24 and it's been excellent as an over layer, as long as it's not too windy. Proper down to your shins length.
I wore it at an OMM once over my regular run kit with no waterproofs and everyone laughed at me, but I was happy, dry and not too sweaty!

A few days late...but, adults who take dressing up for Halloween too seriously. It's weird
I tried and gave up before getting an expensive one with pit zips. I now have a very waterproof, breathable enough jacket that propels water downwards onto my crotch. Walking home yesterday morning with a cold wet dick makes me think it wasn't money well spent.
