I agree. Even for a Nuovo Mexico with non-fluted cranks and the gen-3 brakes I think it'll struggle to make that. Lovely bike for someone, though.

Unfortunately prices have plummeted, less than half if you put it on auction. The middle aged collectors have left the market ,
Bought this c.1984 Colnago Nuovo Mexico about 7 years ago, had it shipped over from Italy and built it up but no space to store so looking to sell.
Seat tube 53 x 53,5 top tube center to center and 12,4cm top tube, used but in very good
condition. The bike was repainted in the 90s by the Florentine frame builder Formigli.
Some scuffs and missed points of paint, but no rust and no dents.
The groupset is a complete Campagnolo Super Record in very good condition and fully operational.
