  • Coolio, I have sent you an email to your gmail address I seem to have from previous.

RE collection, where are the goods kept? (Vague location, not looking to commit a heist)

  • This is great - I'll send you a DM shortly. I will need postage as I'm in Glasgow but happy to pay the £12 fee. Thanks everyone.

  • If anyone in SE19 or nearby wants to combine an order of @Vince ‘s finest then I’ll be in for a couple of bottles. Or could pop to London Bridge to collect?

  • If you're in SE19, Kenrick's Wines in Sydenham (near the station) stocks our Pole Position Brut so you can get a bottle or two!

  • Ah? Is he not part of Urban Cellar anymore? Haven’t seen him there for a while, will wander over and have a look at some point

  • Folkestone?! What did you do in a past life!

  • Unsure what happened to Urban Cellar - Kenrick has a shop in Fulham then opened a second one in Sydenham

  • Still there and selling nice wine bought a decent gewurztraminer there last week , seem to be doing ok even with 2 new wine bars/shops open in the area, last time I spoke to Kenrick was earlier in the year.
Will definitely have a look at the shop in Sydenham.

  • Well that ran out of space rather quickly. I've got another 36 bottles on the way but hope to make a dent in most of those over Christmas.

Irritatingly all the aussie wines have oversized bottles losing me a whole two shelves of storage.

  • I thought this was interesting when I saw it, my friends hole in the floor wine cellar.

  • Very nice. My kids would lock me in if I climbed in to pick a wine.

If I ever convert our garage I'm having a Colin furze basement built in for wine storage.

  • I know of someone with one of them.
They fell in at a party.

  • Tour de France stages on 4th and 5th July passing through the middle of Burgundy. Anyone else going for bikes and a drink?

  • I'm getting rid of my bottle rack. It's made up of 4 interlocking cubes each approximately 19w x 16h x 10d (inches). They're made of polystyrene so are lightweight and can be cut to size if say you wanted to fit them under a staircase. Free to a good home, collection from SE15.

  • Anyone had any success selling wine? Have about 150 bottles to get rid of, ideally in one go, probably unrealistic I know, unless taking a bath on it all.

  • taking a bath on it

    Or a bath in it?

  • Unless it's been stored in bond and a controlled environment I doubt there's going to be much luck other than just posting it on marketplace

  • If it's good wine, there's usually brokers who will buy it providing you have proof of provenance, invoices etc.

  • Not really in keeping with the recent history of this thread, but what are people's absolute go-to bargain wines for everyday drinking? Ideally not much more than £10. To start, this pinot from Majestic, often found on offer at around £10 a bottle. We had it our wedding and it was very well received and whilst we bought on sale and return, we kept about 48 bottles so still getting through it and enjoying every drop. Def a staple, such a lovely easy-drinking red.

  • For ‘everyday’ we buy the Incanta Romanian Pinot noir from them as well as the Solomonar reserve.
The definition range is really good value and often very good producers. The Rioja is from La Rioja Alta and terrific for £9.99

  • Have been drinking some of the wine society’s own label stuff. Quite enjoyed their Chinon

  • This is great, thank you! Gonna put together a case order from recommendations on here, these def going in. Cheers

  • This looks nice too, thank you! Sounds up my street from their description. Any others you'd recommend to make up a case?

  • More for summer but their Sicilian rose was pretty drinkable and I think I had some Tourainne white - dont think this was their own label but can’t get to their site at the moment

  • Lidl's Barolo, just over a tenner
