I bent my Honjo mudguard in half going over the curb the first week i've had it installed. It was quite a regular occurrence especially when riding some singletrack. Can't imagine the pain i'd feel if it was custom painted. But I guess if it's painted it shouldn't leave tarmac anyway.

Don’t like the look tbh. It interferes with the lines of the frame and makes everything just more visually noisy.

The twin six rando is a really cool bike, and ahead of its time in a way. Released back in 2015(?), thru axle, 700 and 650 comptible with big tires. An old shop coworker built one up back then and it would still look right sitting on a shop floor if released today.

I think Speedvagen does colour matching the best. I especially love their Urban Racer. Though needs some work to be functional

Looks like they got as far as applying a coat of primer and then couldn’t be fucked to carry on

SpeedyV was the inspiration for my build for sure.
Think it looks gorgeous! -

And at just 1k with shipping from USA it's not a bad option still.

Looks like an AI rendered a bicycle.

I dislike this so much and I don't even know why

Still a very cool bike, and changing the guards to black is not much work ;-).

ISP on a steel frame. Ok.
Wouldn't mind having that rear wheel though.

colour matched mudguards look shit 99% of the time.
Pashley (and similar) are ok though...

Finally swapped the skinny tired commuter for something a bit more sensible. Hopefully can find acceptance here, mismatched wheels and dodgy bar tape notwithstanding?

Anyone have some good recommendations for steel frames with canti mounts that can take large tyres? Cross check just been discontinued. There must be some niche companies still making stuff like this?

Crust, Rivendell, Brother, 90s MTB…

Brother nope
Crust have the geared wombat but I can't handle the colour.
Rivendell I will look at cheers.
90s MTB I have covered
It's for my day to day commuter/forest riding bike. I have a Fargo but I'm selling it. It's too heavy and slow.I have some nice wheels being made and my trusty 2010 caadx is going to be a bit like a pig in a tiara
Agree.
Don't like the look or the 'sentiment'?
My guards always end up manky and scuffed and scraped so trying to pretty them up just seems pointless. Makes you wonder if the bike is actually going to get much use that requires the guards.
