  • The irony of him appearing on something called 'the high performance podcast'.

  • Ed Norton's Halloween costume

  • Full marks.

  • Bizarre career - perhaps only looked good alongside Kante. Certainly was very anonymous in the 20 or so games he played for Reading

  • Good to see Emi Martinez being recognised as the best keeper in the world.

  • Bellingham doing a dress rehearsal for next year's inevitable Ballon d'Or.

  • I’d really dislike him for any other team though.

Are Villa already a better side than O’Neil’s with Friedel Barry, Milner, Downing, Young (first time) etc?

Or is a better comparison with Atkinson’s 91/92 side with Bosnich, McGrath, Saunders, Houghton, Atkinson and Yorke?

  • Ooh - good question. Obvs different times etc, but i'd say potentially, if not already. Let's see where we are in the New Year.
Martinez, Konsa (should be playing for England), Luiz, Diaby and Watkins are seriously classy. But one of the joys of Emery is that he has built a side more than just the sum of the parts (oh hai Chelsea).
I'm enjoying the calls for him to go to Utd already doing the rounds - as if he'd jump ship to that mess.

  • What would fix United?
It seems simple, buy players, have plan, no custard.
But it’s just not working eh?

  • I'm very happy for United and Chelsea to remain shitshows for quite some time thanks.

  • Minus points for missing the stitches to his eyebrow.

  • Heard the other day that Brentford have now won as many games at Stamford Bridge in the last 7 months as Chelsea.

  • If you cannot organise man marking Haaland there's no hope for anybody over there.

  • Amazing shot

  • liverpool can still do it on a wet windy wednesday night down on the south coast

    horrible conditions tonight
if you're the capt of a team and win the toss play into the wind in the first half, liverpool didn't adjust at all well to the wind in their faces in the second half, couldn't get the ball out of their own half for the first 10 mins or so, then all high balls ended up just boomeranging back to the edge of the box, properly tricky conditions

darwins goal was worthy of a november goal of the month nomination

    well in the reds

  • Unbelievable result for plucky little liverpool

  • the weather was a leveller
bournemouth almost scored from a corner three times. no amount of training field work can prepare you for that
the game was in the hands of the gods

  • Two consecutive 0-3 losses, losing half of the league fixtures this season (more than Forest in 16th?) - taxi for Ten Hag?

  • And then, what?

  • If they lose at Fulham, yes, but they'll probably counter-attack their way to a 2-1 win.

  • no amount of training field work can prepare you for that

    For defending a corner? 🤔

  • Up the sexy, kick n rush toffees!

  • 5 points clear from the relegation places. Must’ve been a few years since that happened
