The Cat Thread

All those sibling cats are so cool.
Ours are more like yeah it's ok to have a flatmate, we can do high speed chases everyday, but no cuddles please.

Hendricks is off to the vet again today. He's suddenly started being really aggressive to our other cat, largely over food. They have had to be separated overnight...

Diet / amount hasn't changed so assuming two options; illness / teeth or hyperthyroidism which can occur in older cats, making them hungry all the time.

Let's see but it's super stressful watching them properly fight. Tonic does little poos around the house out of fear and is spending her day hiding under a dresser in my daughters room.

Poor all of you! I hope the vet has some non-scary answers :(

Apparently there's nothing wrong with him (certainly no teeth issues).

Vet has taken urine sample so let's see what happens. Ordered some calming oil at their recommendation - arrives tomorrow.

the grey one looks really similar to our cat Lottie who we lost this year at 19yrs old.
she was a real lap cat. still miss her.

we've got two new boys now.
cheese and beans (blame the kids for the names!)
they love a scrap and enjoy sleeping in a variety of ridiculous positions.

As we are doing your cat reminds me of past cats, this is Hilma, and your black one looks quite like her.
Hilma had autoimmune problems and passed at 5 years old after a long time of daily meditation. Was bad.

Phew! I think? Doesn't explain the behaviour though which is sad.

Obviously it's great nothing is wrong with him but they're still fighting and having to be separated over night.

No idea what has changed given they've been together since kittens, for 7 years.

Isn't that you with the robot toilet?
Seeing as cats hate change and you're supposed to have at least one toilet per cat/idiot...
