  • looking to buy some champagne for my wife's birthday dinner. Need probably 3 bottles minimum as we're entertaining a group.

Recommendations? Probably don't want to spend more than £25 a bottle. I know that's not much in champagne world...

  • Paging the forum's champagne supplier @Vince

Would recommend even if he didn't used to ride bikes.

  • If not using @Vince then Waitrose will be 25% off 6 bottles from Wednesday

The Bredon Cuvee is decent and would come in budget regardless
I'd probably go for 6 of these Laurent-Perrier
The Chapel Down Bacchus brut isn't champagne but is a nicer wine than the Bredon

  • At just under £25 (LFGSS gets trade prices), you can get our Pole Position Brut Champagne, it's a non vintage made out of Meunier grapes only.

We were awarded a Decanter 2023 Silver Award and the tasting notes were as follows:
Pretty perfumed floral nuances on the nose, with aromas of red apple and cherry. Persistent mousse on the palate.

Although I am now in Folkestone, I still come to London Bridge twice a week so can deliver in person - or post the bottles but that's £6 for up to a case of 6 bottles within the M25 & £12 outside the M25
