An old duvet cover?

Just hang it on the wall on a bespoke artisanal hanger.

I want something neat and tidy with a drawstring or zipper that isn’t going to scratch the painted floor or get chain lube anywhere.
there is no space on the wall as that’s taken up by art and bookshelves in our shared office/spare bedroom, if I had my way it would be on the wall as it’s my pegoretti but not everyone sees things the same way... -

A draw with the middle divider taken out? Then you can wrap it in whatever you want and not worry about oil, scratches etc -

Can anyone help identify this two tiered bike rack/stand? I'm trying to get hold of three more of the stands to attach to the upper level but can't find a make/model anywhere.
Think they were originally donated by Balfes, if that helps

Did a 3 level rack at work to try and keep the bikes out the way.
I have these tubes lasercut with slots in them for another project, but they were ideal for making some brackets that can be positioned at different heights.
Bit of a mess and fairly crude with blue foam, but it did the job.

That is a raaaad seatpost assembly. What stops the bolts from rotating in place..?

They’re 3D printed wall mounts that HoKe recommended- chap sells them on Etsy, really nice guy and the mounts are really good.

Glad this turn out the way you like it.
Does the front wheel align with the frame or kinked due to the mount of the handlebars?
-
• #1938
I think it would be a little kinked but I removable-zip tied the bars and front wheel to their supports as a belt and braces measure

Thanks. I had a thread here with more about the strange seatmasts: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/378559/

What's the most cost effective, secure as possible way to store roughly 6 bikes between 3 houses? Bonus points if it's not absolutely hideous. It'll be in an alley that will hopefully be getting a relatively secure gate soon. The other residents aren't really "bike people" so I think are a bit naïve about how bad bike theft actually is in London at the moment. I'd continue to keep my nice bike indoors but next door would like to be able to leave their e-bike in there if we can come up with something relatively safe.
My initial thoughts are some sort of secure shed with a few Sheffield stands or ground anchors.
I imagine anything worth having is probably more than anyone's willing to spend but I said I'd look in to it (ask the grown ups on the forum). -

I think you've probably got it in these two sentences! Maybe just a sloped roof so they're dry, rather than a full shed? And then ALL the ground anchors and the biggest, baddest motorbike chains etc. you can get.
Possibly wall mounted hooks if space is an issue, for normal bikes at least if not the cargo. With ground anchors suitably placed in the wall for those hanging bikes

I always think, you want it secure enough but not so secure they make a fucking mess of everything and it costs waaay more to replace everything.

You could always get something like this

How can I get 4 adult bikes and 2 kids size bikes in a 7 x 4 pent (AND SPARE WHEELS TOO)?
Trying to work out how to hang them vertically with no wheels. -
• #1946
Yeah, that was my initial thought. I guess the issue would be that you might need to move the bikes at the front to get to the ones at the back. Not an issue if it's for one household but might be for three! I reckon a big, non bike specific shed that's relatively secure, Sheffield stands and massive fucking locks are the best bet. The flats over the road from us have an open shed/ lean to thing right next to the road with pretty minimal security. I reckon the best bet is just to make our bikes harder to nick than theirs (extremely cynical point of view I know).
We're moving out in a few months anyway but the neighbours know I'm in to bikes so I got volunteered to look in to it! -

This looks great, could I ask how much your Klein weighs? I'm considering getting one but worried it might not take 11-12kg.
-
• #1948
Good question, I don't know but I'm fairly confident not that much. The guy on Etsy who sells these will have a rated max, and frankly having now mounted a couple of bikes on these I'd say that I would be confident that they'd take much heavier bikes.

Voice over : ladelah’s walls were made of sealing wax and string. They are now trying to claim on their insurance.

The instructions that come with the mounts tell you to use specific fixings if you have cardboard walls.
Some old carboard to protect the floor (optional), bubble wrap, tape and a bin bag.
