  • Has anyone ridden both an omnium mini and something with a clydesdale fork? I have the latter and I'm not sure it's that much better than a standard porteur rack setup. Considering replacing it, and possibly the neutrino, with a mini, but I should just hold out until we move somewhere with space for a mini-max or some sort of midtail thing. Would be used for commute, groceries, fetching DIY stuff and the occasional tip run.

  • How tall are you dude? If you can get yourself to Bethnal Green we have a mini and 3 mini-maxs built atm. Welcome to come and test ride them with/without weight. Obviously no obligation to go any further than just a test ride.

  • I also have a small mini in Hoxton you're welcome to test ride. Handling with heavy stuff has been great, except for carrying mates when it gets a bit sketchy. You can also get much more on the platform than you would think

  • WEight fixed on the mini, its a very good solution (also have two for sale, pm me).
Butchers fork only if your desperate to keep the frame, done a few conversions for people and honestly, a decent set of low rider mounted panniers on your existing fork is better. The butchers fork is a compromise, works, but very floppy handling at low speed and bike will fall over all the time when not being ridden, dutch spring isn't enough to counter it happening either.
