Cheers.
How on earth do I get the good ones to start spawning in my garden?
I'm not up for syringing packs of Uncle Ben's, but if there was a way to get the right spours(sp?) into the garden that would be great!

I am not sure you'd have much luck with that type. They normally live high up on sheep pastures.. Google it, there are maps people drop pins on to show where they have been spotted.

And I think it is a particularly late season this year in most of southern England

The fly agaric is, it turns out, quite safe to consume, when prepared in a specific way

Think that’s a common earth ball, not edible.

Looking again, I’m not 100% on that. Maybe more like a very young common puffball which I think is edible.
-

I reckon common puffball too!

Common puffballs are white inside, earthballs are black/brown/grey inside. Earthballs also tend not to have a pronounced stem.

That's our favourtie mushroom. So good, although I end up looking like I smoke 60 a day by the time I've finished prepping them.

It was so obvious she did it when it first appeared in the news.
As an aside, I served beef wellington to my inlaws 2 days after that story initially came out. -

Found tonnes of these in the garden! Not tempted to eat them no matter what (think local rodents have already had a crack at most) but any ideas what they are?

Lactarius I reckon . If you cut it does it exude milky white fluid ?
-

Interesting, cheers - will check tomorrow and see if that confirms it. Makes it more tempting to eat one if the Latin name includes "delicious"!

It’s not L deliciosus which is more orange

Looks like possible brown roll rim, not for eating.
They are not the good type..
