‘From the river to the sea’ is not Hamas’ slogan. It’s an old PLO slogan and is around 60 years old. It’s not a call for the obliteration of Israel and the line that this is some kind of hugely antisemitic slogan is horseshit.

Projecting genocidal intent onto even the mildest calls for justice for Palestinians

It does suggest driving Jewish people out of Israel though, doesn't it? It's suggesting that Israel shouldn't be there at all. Which I think is at least potentially problematic. Unless your view is that Palestinians should be able to call for Israelis to be removed (when I don't think any of us would think it's ok for Israelis to call for Palestinians to be driven out)

Remind me, what was PLO’s objectives 60 years ago?
I recall that it included: complete elimination of Israeli sovereignty in Palestine and the destruction of the State of Israel
I know it has changed since 1993, with aims to be accepted in international politics, so ‘From the river to the sea’ may have been used less by PLO and more by those who have more extreme views.
The placard? I don't think (my opinion) that phrase is as clear-cut antisemitic as some on here. Yes it's Hamas' slogan. Problematic. But it's an older phrase and I would guess most using it in the UK are meaning freedom for Palestinians to live without constant fear and have rights to health, movement, work etc. Not to remove all Jews from the area ("free to live" not "free of those other people").
(Couldn't tell your intent from the post, whether you think it's a good or bad thing the police are not acting on it - whatever the wishes of HO)
