I bought this in a moment of weakness with grand plans but I don’t have the time or energy to sort its various issues so offering it here before the tip.
It’s a 58cm square 531c Luxe from the 1987 frameset catalogue, so the second nicest frame you could buy off the peg back in the day. Unfortunately this one has been very well used and has problems. Worst is the dent in the NDS seatstay. It’s a bit creasy but looks like it’s been there for yonks so you may decide it’s worth the risk. Also there is something fairly substantial rattling loose in the top tube. Annoying more than anything but seemingly too big to shake out the frame. Third is the stripped and seized DS crank arm, which has so far resisted my agricultural attempts to free it but will I’m sure yield to the right tool. Fourth and I think final are the fork steerer threads, which are ok but ideally want cleaning up.
Maybe it’s optimistic to ask for anything for it in view of all of that but hopefully £10 may tempt someone. I’ll include the Shimano 600 headset, which has some imperfect threads of its own. Collection only Bristol, BS5.
