What’s your budget?

Say 170 for something un/hardly used. Closer to 100 otherwise I think.

Anyone....?

Not in £100.
Will be tough finding a 20 year old frame in un/hardly used condition for 170.
Carbon rear was a gimmick and as a design was phased out in favour of full alloy or full carbon designs.
What's your height? And what have you been riding?

Hi. Yes, probably correct on the £100 end of things. And also on the carbon rear triangle - I paid to learn about the corrosion issues with those..
It is for a friend who is 6ft, had a Trek 2.1 stolen a while back. Got all the other bits, just need something to attach them to..

Hi thanks. May I ask if you've owned it from new and/or any crashes, dents etc?
-

No, not owned from new I bought it earlier this year as I had a spare groupset (see pic) but once built up just found it too big for me at 5'10" there's no evidence of any crashes just a few paint chips commensurate with its age, it seems to be in very good condition overall and well looked after can send more pics if needed......

I've got this frameset if your friend is still looking - GT Zaskar 2001 & Planet X carbon forks, carbon steerer (uncut, really should be cut but my back's a bit screwed so I left as is). Seat-tube 57cm cc, top tube 58cm cc. A really fun bike, takes 28c tyres fine.
Sorry for the photo, haven't had the chance to take it outside in anything like decent weather recently. Would like £80 for frame, forks, headset & steerer bung, bottom bracket (shimano something), some polishing compounds & wheels so you can get it really shiny (I didn't have the energy clearly).

Thanks. I'm thinking the frame is a little on the large side with 58 top tube but it's a nice offer just for the fork and wheels and bits tbh.
Looking for something a bit different and light ideally, e.g. carbon rear triangle or old CAAD/TCR, but anything considered as long as is corrosion free.
