Yet another failed personal project from our workshop.
We bought this MTB frame to build as a cheap fun commuter, but actually realised that we use our Temple Adventure Disc build for commuting, so would be doubling up on bikes!
It's a 1991 frame and fork, comes with the matching Saracen branded Bars, Stem and seatpost and a Tioga Avenger headset. Bars/stem/Seatpost are all free moving, headset feels fine with no gritty or notchiness.
All threads in the frame are good and will be reamed/faced/chased and frame saved for the buyer. Top tube has internal cable routing, we have left the current cable installed, so if the buyer wants to change cables, this will hopefully help avoid any painful cable fishing situations.
Frame has some rub to decals and age related marks, basically, it's not mint, but neither is it a basket case.
From the decals it says that it is double butted Tange tubing, the seat tube is ovalised at the BB junction which ties in from Tange tubed GTs of the same period, the rear dropouts are also semi horizontal which opens up the opportunity for single speed setup.
We are asking £50 for the lot, based in Norwich, but can arrange delivery at cost.
