I always thought the Zoomer looked a riot.

They give the university kids here 50cc scooters to get to class on around here. They're ridiculous and piss everyone off. Barely hit speeds going downhill and constantly causing issues for traffic.

Ha awesome, but I don't have the hair to do it justice.

• #24331
Out here it's the Ruckus, it's a little too too for me.
-
• #24332
What make/model? Also, what speed limit is it around there, because like I said, the Honda Giorno is capable of close to 70, and I wouldn't be taking it much over 55-60.

50cc are amusing fun, but not so much if you are a fat...
Try a GS 150cc 8 inch wheels....

Should give them bicycles...even limited 50cc bikes do 30mph/48kph.

2 stroke bikes pass the ulez!
-
• #24336
Really? Had no idea, also had to look up ulez.
-
• #24337
Yep. Ulez is on Nox emissions and particlates so mainly diesels.
2000 luxoor 50 passes ulez. Funny innit.
Can you get a Piaggio ape in Canada?
-
• #24338
Ulez the UK thing for cleaner air and idiots blaming khan.
I see them doing a captain Kirk impression shouting khan.
-
• #24339
Sadly not available here, I think they’d sell like hotcakes if we had more reasonable speed limits.

Ape are 50cc

Anyone fancy this lovely XL Roeg Peruna in Jalapeño Green? Bought it and it was too big for me and the company I bought it from went out of business so I can't return it. I actually went ahead and bought another one for myself after and they're pretty great helmets for such a bargain.
Brand new in box and only tried on once.
£100 incl. postage to UK (I'm in Ireland)

May have just ordered a rear shock from a certain purple suspension manufacturer.

Nitron?

Maxton. It'll be beans on toast next month but should be worth it.
-
• #24345
Fancy! Maxton and Ktech are the business.

Went for a fast road/club-level shock instead of their IOM TT spec unit. Figured having a larger range of adjustment makes sense and more accurate to how the bike will be used.
When I got my SRAD I considered hunting down period XR0 factory parts, but soon realised how spendy they are. I saw the exhaust this bike has with corresponding sump for around £5k recently. Spicy eh! That bike looks immense.

Sounds great, I guess that must be pretty similar to TT spec (though TT spec is a bit weird as it's so ferociously bumpy.) Are you thinking about sending the forks to them too for some set up?
If I had a spare 12k sat around, I'd be in the van already....such a cool bike. Your project has given me a real SRAD jones. One of these days, maybe...
-

That's true. Basically there's a more race focused version above what I've ordered with a smaller range or adjustable. Great for fine tuning but probably not optimal for road and occasional track days.
Yes the K5 forks will be going up to them too at some point, probably this time next year. Received some cerakoted parts today so the new swingarm will be going in soon. I've missed being in the garage spannering.

Nice - Cerakoting is extremely popular here. Tis the season for tinkering afterall. (Actually it should be the season for dirt biking here, but I digress.) Between concreting, (URGH) painting bits of my leaky garage and dismantling and repairing gears on the new lathe, I seem to have moved on to second derivative motorcycle repair! Be nice to get on with some bike projects...
All true.
I'm sticking with 4 stroke, from what I understand it's less polluting than 2 (except for maybe Vespas eye wateringly $$$ one that they don't build anymore).
The Honda CT 125 looks great to me as do classic Vespas (I understand they're worlds apart, but there it is). I won't be taking it out of town so no need for highway speed capabilities.
