Talk to me about insurance. Any recommendations?

How does it work for pets exactly? Do you have to declare issues with your cat before signing up? I'm asking as we adopted a few months ago so don't really know prior history, but may need to get some tests done on our ragdoll at the vets soon.

Not really sure, but until it’s documented in vet records any conditions don’t exist so I’d get that insurance in place asap, and note the period that has to pass before claims etc - vet after that.

Petplan are great. It's based on cat age not conditions etc so will increase each year but that's it.

They paid out the maximum claim value for Hendricks this year (£8k) without batting an eyelid.

My girlfriend got a cat and I couldn’t help myself when I saw him. He’s part sphynx and Devon Rex.

Resident cat isn’t the happiest but they were sniffing and playing under the door this morning so I hope they’ll be fine.
