Which and good housekeeping review on noise. Expert reviews maybe too.
We went for a Miele one, which scored well here and got it from their outlet for a good price.

perhaps get some of these dampening feet or similar - i had them recommended by one of the noise/acoustics folks at work (environmental consultancy), who also mentioned making sure the machine is on a decent solid floor and as level as can be make a difference too.

I had a quick look but couldn't find any discussion of this. Any recommendations for a quiet washing machine? Not looking to break the bank and not bothered about brands/fancy models with all the bells and whistles. There's only 2 of us so doesn't need to take a massive load or anything.
