Sorry, me again. I've cut the chain down to the recommended 112 links, but still get heaps of chain slap on the chainstay. I know a little bit of chainslap is expected, but in my case it seems excessive (going over grates in the pavement etc.). I'm nervous of damage to the DS chainstay, even with a bit of protective tape applied.
