Maybe you've sorted this by now. If not, maybe try this... with the tyre fully deflated, you need to take up the slack to get enough leverage to get the bead off of the rim. So get a multitool or a pair of tyre levers and wrap it in a rag (so that you don't mark the rim). Wrap the tyre around the multitool and pull down. A satisfying pop usually results and then you can ease the rest of the bead off of the rim with your thumbs.

I can't for the life of me get a tubeless tyre (mezcal 2.1") off of a rim (wtb i29).
It might have something to do with my diminished strength due to a broken elbow two ish months ago but even the put it on a ledge, put foot on tyre, pull didn't work.
Any tips?
