I’m after the bit that goes between the top cover assembly and the compression ring that sits just above the bearing. They’re used on integrated headsets to get the compression ring deep enough. Cane creek manufacture some like shown.
Those usually go under the crown race on the fork.
You shouldn't need the shim on top. The top cover assembly, in the diagram, does that.
