I thought that until I got some. Best decision ever for the commuter. Warm dry hands on even the worst days.

Ah you see I rarely do commute on the bike so I'd struggle to justify it to myself... I'd probably convince myself to buy a GL1500 Goldwing (foreshadowing because I've been thinking about this a bit too much lately) for comfy commuting quicker than the muffs, lol.

Heated gilet is the very best warmth
Recommendations please!
(Unless they all need plugging into a motorbike - I'm not sure I could justify buying a bike to keep next to me while I'm at my desk).

heated seat and heated grips this morning, lovely toasty ride in.

The heated jacket and glovers are definitely coming out for tomorrow's ride in.

Think about heated gloves and jacket. Not a fan of heated grips...

Muffs are great but have had issues os some muffs pressing on the clutch or brake.

AHH miss understood. Fair enough then!
Heated gloves over drips imo. Grips don't so much if it's really cold

Hadn't given heated gloves much consideration but must investigate!
I'm going to change my hand guards too for some Acerbic Rally Brush w/ extensions so that should do a good job of keeping hands protected too!

Thank you for the offer. I was half joking, but would take you up on it if wasn't for the fact that I have Daytonas.
Cheers! -

I did a few years commuting on the M25 and Dartford crossing. with no heated anything (I used to have a hot water bottle shoved down my jumper on especially chilly days)
Now I am working relatively local it seems an extravagance, but I am sure I will be looking for some heated clobber soon enough. -

I've got over an hour each way with 50% of it at motorway speeds. Heated clothing is a must for me for sure. My only regret is not getting it sooner.

Prefer heated grips to gloves as they're always there without having to plan. Getting away with down under a wind shell but could be in the market soon for a jacket. Would be wired to the battery, any tips on things to look for? Eg gillet vs jacket, low power with down vs high power. I layer up so it would need to sit between the Knox shirt and a wind/rain shell or under the Knox.

Just back from a thousand mile 3 day jaunt around Central California backroads on the VFR, riding with 2 mates on a GS and a Triumph Tiger. Got to say, the old lump was utterly perfect. Literally hundreds of miles of rutted, potholed country backroads, a little dirt and even a water crossing. A good gas on anything smooth and twisty and crushed the last bit of freeway slab on the way home. Sat comfy at a ton in 105f heat.
My only gripes are that the front brakes are a bit wooden, which I don't care enough to do anything about and that it needs more rear ride height, which on investigation, seems like an easy fix.
Top bikes, recommended.

Would recommend Keis stuff as they're well made and the latest stuff is carbon fluff basically rather than wires so you get better coverage.
Make sure you carry the simple connector wire if you have a controller attached though as a fuse blew in mine 800 miles from home and I had no heated jacket for the entire journey.

Nissin oe pads from honda sort that out to the best it can be. Rough the discs up a bit with a wide brush attachment help too.

It’s all fresh OEM. They stop fine, just a bit wooden compared to modern brakes (or indeed the psycho powerful old Brembos on the 900ss.)

Swindon is flooded. So I got the DR out and washed it along the main roads.

Ah I think I might be there on the 20th too! I know a few other people heading over from Ireland who are aiming for that date so I'll likely join them. See you for a coffee and cake if so!

Found a proper river flowing a few feet up over the road. Only went a foot or so deep on the shallow end. Proper big waves. I’ll wait to see if anyone posts videos on social media. Bound to have been caught, since I went through a dozen times.
Have you got Oxford ones? I'll send you it in the post if you like as I actually have a spare set off another bike and I've been shaping up to buy the new ones with the integrated controller anyway...
@skinny my vanity would never allow it... honestly just need some winter gloves though as my Revit ones are very summer.
