The best things I did for dust in the air in my old shop (shed) was to plumb the dust extractor outside and have a flap in the tube near my main work table to get rid of any floating dust. Having it outside meant it didn’t stir up dust and was super quiet so you could leave it running all the time. I also got an extra long hose for the shop vac and plumbed that though the wall as well. My college lecturer said “you want to get that shit out and not just stir the fucker up” Gawd bless F’ing Malcom.
Thanks - I'll see if I can get hold of a fan and give it bash. I've got so little room in my little shed to mount it, but above my spindle sander (the main culprit) seems like a sensible place.
