Grand. It doesn't preclude being sensible about dust, but I do find that the flat surfaces are less covered in the really fine shit after a couple of days whereas before that would have lingered in the air and eventually settled. Although the more I use it the more I realise that the filter is totally unecessary and probably restricts it. But, the filter holder is actually how it mounts to the ceiling so I'd need to re-engineer something to delete it completely. Not impossible, but in the CBA box right now.

How are you finding the vent? My shed is crying out for a dust extractor - I'd been thinking about either building something similar to yours or just buying a filter.
