There were some early 90s duo-sonic reissues but the quality was utter dog shit.

It’s so fucking nice. I still can’t quite believe I saved up when I was 16 and managed to find one.

If the orange fender love is still going on this page, I’ll be letting my capri orange Jaguar Player go as we’ve got some repairs that need doing. It’s the one with a single coil in the neck and a humbucker in the bridge. Great condition, is £500 about right?

Anyone know of a tool like this below, that will allow for custom tuning?

Give me ten reasons why I shouldn't buy this amp. AU$220. DON'T NEED but really want to replace the THR5 with it, anyone got one? AC4TV.
EDIT: If I buy it I'll chuck that 10" Alnico Celestion Gold I can't get rid of in it, most pointless, expensive upgrade ever.

How are you going to squeeze that into that little 4 inch cab?
we need some kind of reference object for scale... any frozen sausages laying around?

Ha! I’m on the same mission. Do it!

I had one - I put a WGS veteran in it (Jensen-a-like)
Sounded good if you turned it up, but also broke up immediately. Kind of fun i suppose

Apparently it's got a 10" speaker in it. 🤷
@Dooks-Fatberg I think I will!!
@stappard TBH I probably won't, the reason I didn't keep it in my old Super Champ is because it was too clean compared to the Jensen it came with. Great to hear it breaks up straight away, exactly what I'm after!

You could definitly play americana (wtf that means) on it. No punk tho. Bit too tasteful for me.

I've got one of these here at the mo. Looking after it for a mate who is giving it, and a Laney DC30 to his son for his 18th. It plays lovely. Haven't plugged it in yet.

Will post some pic when i'm out of "got the builders in" chaos. Whole family living and working in one room at the moment under a pile of furniture, boxes and random crap, all covered in a thick coating of dust. Bleh!

What about if you're playing 'americana' the album by the offspring...
-
• #14067
thats a beaut!

• #14068
I'll allow it.

I met the offspring once in about 2000? Maybe late 90s. I would have been early 20s. A mate had an internship at MTV and we had passes for Brixton academy. Wasn't remotely interested but we went hoping to blag some free beer. The whole thing is dominated in my memory by the fact that we met TOMMY VANCE and hung out with him all night.

ha no way, that could have been the Americana tour. arguably the start of the decline (others might argue there was nothing to decline from, I don't really have a dog in the fight)
How creepy was tommy vance in the real?
-
• #14071
He wasn't creepy as such, but then I was (and am?) very naieve. He said his daughter had dragged him along and I had no reason to disbelieve it. He was friendly but just very guarded. He was standing on his own in a backstage bar area looking a bit out of place. His R1 friday rock show was a big deal to me so I went over and started chatting (I must have been drunk because that does sound like something I would do). I can't remeber if he had a pint of foaming nut-brown ale, but I remember it being cool and fun to have met him!

^CSB!

Oh god - recovered memory of deliberately prentending not to recognise the offspring and asking one of them... i think it was the singer, to take a picture of me and my mate (i.e. not a selfie with them fnar fnar). *facepalm.
twattish drunk early twenties behaviour confirmed.

Heh, I did an internship at Sony Music Video. Met Tom Morello and Annabella Lwin.
-
• #14075
No way. How was Morello? I thought he was cool when I was young. First two RATM albums hit me at just the right ages. I thought he seemed intelligent, not rockist, lefty etc. Never really followed them or him after that tbh. Was really surprised to stumble across some YouTube footag eof him doing a tutorial recently where he was obvioulsy cokey and rockstarry.
Son, I am disappoint.
I wanted one so badly in the late 80s but so many dullards were playing them by then that I couldn't bring myself to get one. They were impossible to find anyway!
