The mini 5 should still get another couple of years of updates.
Many are viewing yesterday’s release of a new iPad Pencil and nothing else as an indication that there isn’t going to be an iPad update this year, as Apple likes to group these things.

Ipad mini 5. Would I regret swapping out my full size ipad 9th gen for one?
I'd like to be able to fit something in my handlebar bag.
Can't really afford a 6 mini.
Will the mini 5 be unsupported / obsolete soon?
