  • Just back from a thousand mile 3 day jaunt around Central California backroads on the VFR, riding with 2 mates on a GS and a Triumph Tiger. Got to say, the old lump was utterly perfect. Literally hundreds of miles of rutted, potholed country backroads, a little dirt and even a water crossing. A good gas on anything smooth and twisty and crushed the last bit of freeway slab on the way home. Sat comfy at a ton in 105f heat.

    My only gripes are that the front brakes are a bit wooden, which I don't care enough to do anything about and that it needs more rear ride height, which on investigation, seems like an easy fix.

    Top bikes, recommended.

  • Nissin oe pads from honda sort that out to the best it can be. Rough the discs up a bit with a wide brush attachment help too.
