They haven’t fixed the battery disconnection issue as it will still lose power with a sufficient enough bump. This was a disappointment for me as I’ve owned ebikes at a third of the price that don’t do this. Not a deal breaker for me though!

I've not had any problems since the new catches were fitted. Did you have the problem where peddling while it disconnected could fry the controller or motor? I had a new motor, controller and battery fitted under warranty because of that problem.
On the whole I'd say reliability has improved massively from the first release.

New bike bought this year it would disconnect if knock was bad enough, ymmv!

Boost is IMO the best option at the moment, pre orders only though.
p/s: I'm not paid by them.

Have you ridden one? I was considering one for my partner's Brompton, for the price it looks great. Although I did hear a rumour that the OLD had to be increased to fit the motor in the rear??!

We bought two C line electric around 5 weeks ago and have since only used the car once.
I've done +250Km in that time.
We commute five miles each way and they have been excellent.
They are a little heavy but we have no carrying.
The integrated lights are very good.
We took a pair out for a trial spin from Brompton Junction.
We bought from Tredz with a good offered and Blue Light discount. -

Thanks folks. I wasn't aware of a battery disconnect issue, it's worth noting.
I will be going to the Brompton store to give one a test ride this weekend and then hopefully sort out a ride to work scheme certificate to pick one up if I like it.

Is there a detachable pedal solution for SPDs?

I suspect the hardest thing will be actually getting them. -
• #14461
Thanks. I did also find a Wellgo pair that are cheaper, but some reviews highlight some problems ... maybe a spanner is the answer.

Wow, Boost looks great. I was always disappointed with how home-made the official e Brompton's looked.
-
• #14463
boost looks very promising indeed. can you still fold the bike?

Ti Parts Workshop have asked me to return broken pedal to my dealer, have told them I brought them secondhand, awaiting response.
Whilst I wait, does anyone have any thoughts/recommends about these 2 options in case they get back to me saying not our problem.
mks compact EZY
or
London Craftwork X Shape (I like the look of these, but have no idea if they'd be nice to ride on

I have had the MKS compact easy for years and would recommend. Although tbf I very rarely remove them - still it's a good option to have.

MKS compact EZY here, the quality speaks for itself, highly recommended.

I've got a pair of MKS compact EZY - but they're my emergency replacement pair so they're still sitting unused in a box.
-
• #14468
Yeah.
As I said, probably the best kit at the moment.
Both functionality and esthetics wise.

I went for MKS ezys as well, can’t complain. Feel solid, feels like a pedal, can’t complain! Other option would be Bromptons own Superlight QR. I wasn’t in love with the fit, but the qr mechanism is pretty nifty.

Thanks for the mks ezy support, gonna wait for ti parts to come back with a definitive “not gonna be able to replace them” before pulling the trigger..

Not a good afternoon - Does anyone have a rear brake they could sell me please?

It might be time consuming but it might be salvageable if you get the remainder of the bolt out

New use case: hospital birthing bike. Perfect for birth partner errand runs that wouldn’t be feasible by foot or car. Turned a 40 min walk to/from home into 10 minutes riding, with luggage carrying capability.
Plus really helps birthing partner’s mental health during longer stays.

Managed to drill out the remainer, then threadlocked a bolt backwards through the remaining threads and added a washer and nut on the front. seems to work....
I've had one since the launch. They fixed the early problems with battery disconnecting and improved the torque response. As @Squircle already mentioned the main disadvantage is weight when you're carrying it. I like mine a lot, it's replaced motorbike use for me.
