I must confess to being genuinely a bit excited when I got the first spanner!

Ha! Same.

Third!
I like the little holders, handy as I am notorious for leaving tools laying about

Mine is sitting at home in the bubble wrap it came in whilst I'm in Riyadh for work.

had an moment of enlightenment today, didn't realise the screwdriver has a hidden section for the bits!
was wondering why they supplied far more than the holder can handleSilly me.

Annoyingly one of my flat heads is a tiny bit small and keeps flying out of the handle when you open it. I'd be less fussed if it was a torx or something.
I'm thinking about messaging them after Xmas for a replacement.

I've got a replacement screwdriver on the way as the button broke on the second press. The quality seems miles off it this year.

Strongly agree.

I don’t understand how the screwdriver will survive tbh. You’re going to be putting all the tightening torque through the “loose” bit of the handle that separates to reveal the bit storage. Just feels a bit snappy.

Thanks to @atk for the tip-off.

Can’t see me paying £60 for that tbh (although I probably will).

It’s got worse every year

I could do with some allen keys but I don't need another bottle opener or more screwdrivers.
-

Annoying that they include a bottle opener every year, and if you got the last few you've got more than enough screwdrivers.

Anyone tried this as a method of bike maintenance induction for their kid?
-

I would have gone wild for this as a kid.
I grew up fiddling around with my dads extensive Snap-On collection so getting to build my own set of tools would be far superior to some shitty chocolate or picture of jebus.Does look a bit naff this year though.

Think I'm gonna have a go at that this year. She's lacking in motor skills but very keen.

My little one uses the 2020 and 2021 kits as toys to click together and play with and walk around the house to "fix" things by tapping on them. Even removing the pieces from the velcro closure case and replacing them is helping their motor skills. The tools have numbers on them for sizing and colours for identification so they're being tricked into learning without even realising it.
This year's one looks a vast improvement on last year's. I was disappointed that the 2022 tools were loose without a pouch. I'm happy to buy them every year even with overlap and repeat elements 'cause it just means I can have a set in a different bag for a different bike... one under the stairs, one in the kitchen etc... The fun of opening them through December is part iof it though anyway right?

Yep, £60 seems to be over some out-of-time threshold,
what with 10% inflation for each of the last two years.Even with a Trade Show 10% discount, it's still the wrong side of £50.

Enjoying my first calendar.
Making it a group activity with my kids has been much better than I expected. They've been respectful and have not swallowed any of the bits yet.
