I've not had any problems since the new catches were fitted. Did you have the problem where peddling while it disconnected could fry the controller or motor? I had a new motor, controller and battery fitted under warranty because of that problem.
On the whole I'd say reliability has improved massively from the first release.

They haven’t fixed the battery disconnection issue as it will still lose power with a sufficient enough bump. This was a disappointment for me as I’ve owned ebikes at a third of the price that don’t do this. Not a deal breaker for me though!
