Can you get it welded back together locally?
-
• #118978
could it be the same one like the one with this bag?
https://klickfix.com/en/products/detail/variants/0214Smaybe they can get it from their klickfix supplier directly.

I doubt "Karrimor" is still making stuff like that, not since the various buy-outs of the brand. I'd probably have a chat with some friendly local metal workers, see if they could bend a replacement for me.

Cheers for the various sticking ideas. Looks like the solution is to just go more industrial with my sticky stuff.

Out of interest, what was your objection? Had a brief go on my mate's new sonder on a recent short tour and was pretty impressed. Very comfortable, components seemed decent enough, enjoyed my first go with hydraulic disc breaks....

Anyone good with rent law stuff? My "I hate" estate agents post from the other week hasn't resolved as easily as I'd wanted.

Buy my Tri rig brake

Buy my Tri rig
Which version is it?
-
• #118985
They look like they'd be more expensive than my whole bike!
-
• #118986
That's the trick about testing.
If you do buy the Tri Rig Brake then the next thing you buy is less likely to be more expensive than your whole bike.

Not the fancy new one, whatever the previous iteration is called.
-
• #118988
For a laugh, how much?
-
• #118989
Not unless your bike cost 149.99
(That's what I paid for it, would sell on for less)
-
• #118990
whatever the previous iteration is called
Omega X? I'm out, would be interested in a 1st Gen one as they're the ones designed for the P3/T3

This guy

Yeah, just acquired that guy. Probably don't need two first gen brakes as I can't ride the T3 and the P3 at the same time, but I'd grab one if it came up at the right price.

Any suggestions on what to use to wire three lamps into one cable that leads to a switch and later a plug? They're low power bulbs in a mid century bar cabinet, all wired separately with two core flex. I went to a DIY shop and they suggested a 20a junction box, but when I got it home, it doesn't have any cable grips.
-
• #118994
Wago connectors inside the junction box.
If it's LED bulbs the current draw will be negligible, so you should be fine on a 13 amp cable and plug. -
• #118995
Have tried and failed twice now to get the grip grabs on. Are they supposed to be this tricky?!
-
• #118996
No. They're snug for sure but it shouldn't be too difficult.
You are putting them on before your shoes right? -

I've just spotted some damage to the paint on my chainstays from tyre rub (my fault for sticking some too far tyres on). It's through to the bare steel but doesn't seem to have caused damage to anything other than the paint. What's the best way to stop it rusting? Bit of clear nail polish?
-
• #118998
Bit of clear nail polish?
Yeah or get down to Boots or Superdrug and choose a close colour match.
-
• #118999
I'd put something like jenolite or rustins on first.
-

There's no rust forming just yet, is it still worth using something like that to prevent it?
Any idea where to source a karrimor, rixen kaul bag support from? A guy at Spa Cycles is on the case but they don't supply Karrimor and I'm not sure who makes the part.
