If it’s like here, the council tax is only increased after the next sale of the property. Our place went from a 3 bed to a 2/3 bigger 6 bed and the tax jumped x3!!! they don’t tell you that when you buy an improvements/extended place. We probably could have found out, but it never entered our heads. Multigenerational living isn’t as cost effective as we first thought.
