That's just posing now!
House looks really interesting from the rear. Are you going for a really structured garden (eventually)? I think you need to err on the side of caution re geometric shapes with any hard landscaping.

We’re going to keep it pretty natural and “organic” garden wise - this is the back at the moment

!Having a skylight over the stairwell is so good. It really makes for a welcoming hall/entrance.

Cladding to the rear looks fantastic. What is the coping / flashing at the top?
On the entrance hall pic, do you need that wee notch on the LHS wall / guarding beside the stair? could you fill it in to be more minimal??

Coming out real nice this. More of a bungalot than a bungalow now

Thanks , yeah it makes a big difference to the light and feeling of space . You come up the stairs then POP! Feels like the hall is going to be quite a social area 🕺🏿💃🏾

Thanks indeed! The coping is reconstituted Bath stone / it’s seriously heavy stuff!
I know what you mean about the notch , I should’ve asked for it be “filled” but probably too late now as the other side has been plastered…
I may have a word on Friday 😬 -

Cheers , not a bungalow now but a 🏡. Bet the council tax will go up now🤫

• #143
Never too late.. Builders love being kept on their toes.. LOL

If it’s like here, the council tax is only increased after the next sale of the property. Our place went from a 3 bed to a 2/3 bigger 6 bed and the tax jumped x3!!! they don’t tell you that when you buy an improvements/extended place. We probably could have found out, but it never entered our heads. Multigenerational living isn’t as cost effective as we first thought.

Ah ok , we’re not planning on selling it and our daughter will have it when we’re pushing up the daisies so may get away with it !

This is ddrrragggginngg on now.
Builders supposed to have left but they’ve still got a few days work to do. Electrician couldn’t be arsed to turn up which delayed things as did the plumber.
I took next week off to decorate and sand floors but i can’t because they haven’t finished.
Picking up all their shit and rubbish is doing my head in.
Wish they’d all just hurry up, tidy up and go.
This is nice though:

Great.. hard to beat a nice picture window..
Trust the French to have a frame (lol) of of reference that subjugated ‘beige’ to something more worthy than magnolia in the palette
Lovely Bob btw
Edit
