  • How big is the Kona?

  • Kona is for sale here

Landshark is here, probably splitting out the frame and components here

In the meantime, got this to build into a classic forum "try and do everything gravel/road/touring bike". At the moment it's inheriting the parts from the Inbred, but it's future may hold a totally over the top SRAM eTap something or other

    (please excuse my awful photo)

  • Built up the frame from @platypus, needs some finishing touches (looking for dynamo lights, and tips on how to fully seat a fork crown race that’s a bit tight haha)

The pink gravel kings may not stay but I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy a pair and this is currently it

  • Regarding the crown race.
The proper way is to ream the fork to spec.
The ghetto way that has always served me sufficiently is to slit the crown race to make it able to accommodate the extra micrometers, and live with a oh so slightly off crown race width.
Ild fit a rear brake anyway, it has and would fill the mounts and you might need it one day. There is a brake track already innit?

  • There's also put fork in freezer, heat up crown race, install whilst praying it works but again, ild go ghetto.

  • Damn, now I'm wondering whether the inbred might be a good 650b rando thing. If I didn't have like three of those already, I'd be at risk of another project now.

  • Yeah it fit the 40mm 650b tyres with miles to spare, random internet forums seem to say up to 2” fits

  • Ah time to break out the saw then.

Anyone serviced an SP Dynamo hub? This one seems to squeak a bit when it’s spinning slow

  • Took the soma for a spin down in the New Forest, really great riding. Good mix of wider gravel roads and some smaller (but not too technical) singletrack, featuring pork road blocks

  • Due to my intense 3rd bike indecisiveness, the Hulsroy modded Bianchi is for sale. Will make a classifieds post in a bit

  • Picked this up, will just ride it for a bit then maybe go down the 1x swept bar route that’s on brand at the moment
