@coventry_eagle and @sbbohr how often would you recommend checking hinges on a newish Brompton? 1.5 years and low milage, there is no play or visible wear. Would you still recommend a full service? Do hinges benefit for
regular check and/or tightening, lubricanting, etc…Thanks in advance for your help!

Check for play, lubricator frame and stem pivot pins, chain the hinge plates every 2 years
Stem and frame pins are fine to have a bit of plate, providing when you tighten the hinge clamps all the play is lost

Do hinges benefit for
regular check and/or tightening, lubricanting, etc…Brompton recommend lubricating with an oil; can’t immediately remember what viscosity.

Depends how worn it gets.
If replaced as soon as needed, should be no limit as to how many times.
