Looking for a new front light, my list of requirements are as follows:
- Bright enough to see by on unlit roads and gravel. 1500+ lumens?
- Decent battery but an all in one unit not a separate battery pack.
- Preferably no mount needs to be left on the bike.
- Can be securely mounted to 31.8 and 22.2 mm bars.
It's probably the last one that's going to be the deal breaker for a lot of lights.
I currently have two of the Lidl lights that look very like these Lezyne ones
The problem with the mounting system though is that the hard plastic bit at the top is shaped for 31.8mm bars so while you can tighten it onto the 22.2mm bars most of my bikes have, it doesn't hold very well.
Because of this, I've replaced the mounts with Hope ones which have different rubber pads to account for different bar diameters. The rubber pads are not easily removed and refitted though so these lights are pretty much only for my 22.2mm barred bikes.
They also aren't super bright.

I have a Moon Meteor Storm which I rate and ticks most of those boxes. The only possible issue might be mounting to 22.2mm bars. They provide all sorts of rubber shims for the beefier mount but the shape of the actual plastic clamp is designed for fatter bars. Then again, they do provide an additional mount which is just a rubber strap so should fit anything.

I would look for lights with a Garmin mount and then get a bunch of cheap 22.2mm mounts on Aliexpress.

Exposure are great at repairing, send it off to them. I sent back a stada that wouldn't turn on and they serviced it and sent it back for only a few £.

I've heard a few anecdotes similar to yours; it's with them at the moment so🤞🏼

The moon lights mentioned by snottyotter on the previous page would tick most of those boxes.

Exposure fixed my light and it's good as new. No charge despite being a month or so out of warranty. Cannot fault them at all!

They really do merit buying their wears.

I was sceptical of the garmin radar but was riding in the vosges with a mate who had one and was soon convinced of their benefits. Am keen to buy one as ever since moving to Cornwall riding has never felt so precarious. Before I drop £150 on a rear light, does anyone either have one for sales here (already posted a wanted ad but no luck) or alternatively have a suggestion of a radar beater?

Think I've an addiction to 3D printed trinkets for mounting various Exposure lights on different bikes. MagCAD, Cat3Bits and now aerohead, who do this handy dual Sirius mount, if for some reason you have 2 of them 😅

Raving positive reviews, simple smart purpose built design and optics, and critically it has watertight, real pass-through charging where you can run it off a power bank in any mode without draining it's own battery until needed.

is there an Exposure Trace light mount that would work with the light mount on a Specialized Pizza Rack?

You could message cat3bits on Etsy and see if they'll knock up something to attach this onto ..
https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1484263893/exposure-light-boost-side-entry-clipI have a bodge that would work, can try and get a picture later.

It is not elagant but could use an ebay stem gopro mount. Doesn't rotate using a nyloc nut.

Thanks! I'll try the cat3bit with a similar mount.
Thank you for the kind offer but I'll pass.
