Oh yeah. I prefer them younger so they don't break down quite so much when they're fried, but a proper good breakfast mushroom.
Been a good season for us so far. Finally found an excellent chanterelle spot and have gorged ourselves silly; got an enormous chicken of the woods on the way home from work the other week and had chicken satay, crispy chicken nuggets and chicken and mushroom pie; and (praise be to the mushroom gods) our first ever penny buns, rather than bay boletes, and a decent number too.
Looking forward to more parasols and hopefully blewits and clouded funnels soon.
