Does anyone want this A4 print?
Collect from SE6. You can have the battered old frame or I'll post for cost.

This is a really nice painting. Where the light hits the legs is very pleasing.
I’ve made some small progress on this but will need to go over it again. I’m not sure how I thought green was the right way to go with the skin shading. I was sat down with a colleague is very good at oils and she gave me some tips for the skin tones and shadows. So will have another go soon.

As I said: all credits for mine go to the man (Richard Diebenkorn) himself. I had this painting urge last night (but no inspiration) so I took this one from the "favourites" folder on my phone and started painting.

I agree with @eskay: reflections in yours are really nice @Light_EDDed. Especially the reflection in the sunglasses (and the shadow is casts on her face) is really nice.

Yeah as others have said, you’ve handled the light really nicely in this.
Considering it’s an homage, you’ve made it your own. -

.any idea what these are?
I should point out I found these with a bunch of canvas stretchers so assuming they’re linked.

Been trying to find time to do some stuff not on an ipad. I could really tell I’d not painted in a while - felt very rusty and it looks pretty ropey up close!

What’s the go to method to get oil paint off your hands

• #1891
That's fantastic! I'd put that on my wall.

I use an ordinary bar of mild soap ("Marseille"). The same I use to clean my brushes.

Thanks will give it a try. White spirit on skin seems so wrong

It ruins your skin the same way it cleans your brushes.

Appreciate the kind comments, all.
It’s nice to let inconsistencies and accidents happen naturally, rather than spending effort trying to recreate them digitally!

Question for you canvas stretchers out there. I’ve got the canvas ☑️ stretching tool ☑️ stretching bars ✔️. The only thing I don’t have is the horizontal and vertical supports. What are they called? Could I just cut some wood down to size?

Nice, @Rich_G!
