Kiddo somehow shattered our hallway thermostat this morning. It was an old Siemens one. Functional but due an upgrade. DIYable? Was looking at nest/ilk. Notifiable? Presuming need to be cautious as will be pokey amounts of power providing the boiler?
I could be wrong but it's possibly only a call for heat that the thermostat receives/sends so unlikely to be a lot of amps. Not notifiable as far as I know. Obvs switch off power at the Cu and check there's no voltage with a decent voltage tester before messing with the wires.
