Although I think he should replace the vest with a tasselled leather jacket haha

I have on of those vests. Always rode with it. Never needed it.

Not going to lie, despite looking a like a small fridge I quite like it.

the stock build on the r18 makes no sense to me at all, but they can look pretty cool

If it was my bike, I'd be changing the exhaust! So underwhelming.

That Max Hazan bike looks like the Tesla Cybertruck of Supermotos…

I can see it's divisive but I bloody love it! Absolute brutalism and purpose of design. I'm guessing it's an absolute blast to ride too!
The RC8 swingers is a particularly inspired choice. Has me wondering if an R1 swingers would fit the XTZ, lol.

The crayola build on that r18 makes no sense to me at all.

Depreciation on the r18 looks savage.
Lots of sub-4k for sub-£12k.

Idk how but it's made me start ebay daydreaming of a Moto Guzzi 850 T3 again.
Probably something like r18 > new Moto Guzzi California > old California > T3

Fair play, I reckon it's hideous. Great, ugly, heavy fat thing. Nary a redeeming feature. A rare miss, as I reckon most of his bikes are ace.

haha well ignore the colour scheme, i more meant the silhouette

Horses for courses I guess. It's not for me. Drifting into Ducati Diavel territory and I reckon the r18 styling is spot on for what it is. But then I ride an almost stuff air cooled triumph scrambler.
The only thing I don't like on the r18 (and bagger Harleys too) are those funny chubby fork shrouds(?). They always look fake imo.

£££ bikes?
Don’t mind me, I’m just popping the front wheel off anything I can with the DR350.

Out for a blast on the varadero today (in the rain!) Back brake seems to do very little - is that a linked abs thing, or should it feel like any other back brake, and probably just needs an overhaul?

What MPG and top speed do you get from the 350? Been looking at one for more extreme off road or a Djebel 200.

• #24243
The servicing costs alone are stupid.

I can imagine.
I know it's different, but I was watching a del boy's garage on an electraglide. The amount of time spent to access anything is nuts. Plus the need for heavy duty stands, it's not suprising that these big bikes are expensive to maintain.

Edit:
Djebel like the 350 is just a baby tractor. -

Himalayan
If you're going from this, then a DR350 will be better.
-
• #24249
Himalayan has no ground clearance so doesn't fair well in lanes around Snowdon and mid Wales.
Unless we are talking big hill climbs there aren't many places where I couldn't get a DR200/350 with off road tyres.
It's top speed is whether it's suitable to ride there or van there and then ride. Tbh a dr200 has better bhp per tonne than a Himalayan and that is fine.

Popped up on my Facebook, love a dual headlight setup.

Back rest on order from Germany, not sure if that will help.
He wont ride without the vest unless out on something low hp. Gives him piece of mind.
Here is my garage for scale, pretty much takes up 3/4 of the length!
