  • Nah Geno is the strong point. Coach finally has a QB who will defer to the run first offense, will take a deep shot when it's available and won't be careless/reckless with the ball. Defense is heading back to legion of boom status (it hasn't even been close to decent for a half decade at least) and so Seahawks with their young players on the defensive side of the ball suddenly look frisky again.
Pete's got the kind of team he loves working with and Geno (cost controlled, happy to be a starter and doing a decent job at it), is major reason for it, see also the picks and young players they got from trading Russ.

  • Not saying any of that's wrong, but hard to get excited about an 'above average' QB that doesn't have much flair imo.

Think we're a top tier QB away (and maybe some healing!) from another superbowl.

    Jim McMahon
    Jeff Hoestetler
    Trent Dilfer
    Brad Johnson
    Joe Flacco
    Nick Foles

    Just sayin.....

  • You had a top tier qb and he left because HC’s gameplay wouldn’t defer to his style of play, you’re probably not going to get a top tier QB unless you fluke another in the draft. Geno’s good enough to get you to a Super Bowl, he fits into about list provided by @Aroogah, but it depends on the team around him.
I don’t think Seattle has enough firepower to get out of the nfc, can’t see them turning over San Francisco or Dallas.
